I combine a scientific background with many years’ experience in business, operations and operational excellence. With an MSc in Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry, an MBA and my training as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, I have spent around 25 years exploring how organisations, processes and people can work together more effectively.

My professional career spans operations and GMP, through to pharmaceutical project management and global operational excellence. In my role as Operational Excellence Manager, I was responsible for up to 37 sites worldwide. As a consultant and trainer, I have also supported around 1,200 people in developing methods and mindsets relating to Lean, Six Sigma, processes and continuous improvement.

For me, operational excellence is not just about making processes more efficient. Sustainable improvement arises where people, processes and business objectives are brought together. That is why I combine Lean Six Sigma with strategic thinking, change management, knowledge management and agile approaches such as Scrum and SAFe.

My experience spans, amongst other sectors, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, packaging, analytics & labs, banking, IT, food, logistics and the circular economy. In doing so, I have gained experience with operational processes as well as complex projects and international organisations.

My focus is simple: understand the system, involve the people and make improvement happen.

In my private life, I am a curious person with a great passion for art, music, films and culture, as well as for science, philosophy, good food, wine and travel.
